Participants and Admission

Admission Requirements and Application Process

The maximum number of students admitted annually is capped at thirty (30) postgraduate students (15 in each spesialization). The program cannot operate with fewer than ten (10) postgraduate students (4 in each spesialization).

The Postgraduate Programme announces available positions through an open process following a decision by the Postgraduate Studies Committee. The announcement specifies the admission requirements, the number of students admitted, categories of candidates, the admission process, selection criteria, deadlines for application submission, and the required documentation. The admission announcement is published on the School’s and on the Programme’s website. Applications, accompanied by the necessary documents, must be submitted to the Programme’s Secretariat, either in print or electronical form.

The latest announcement is available in our News Page.

The selection criteria for admission include:

  1. Application accompanied by a brief statement of interest.
  2. Detailed curriculum vitae.
  3. Copy of degree or diploma.
  4. Certificate of studies with a detailed transcript of undergraduate and/or postgraduate grades.
  5. Certificate of sufficient knowledge of a foreign language (level B2). If the candidate does not have a language certificate, they will be examined by a committee of the Master’s program on text comprehension and translation. In case of knowledge of a second foreign language, the corresponding certificate must also be submitted.
  6. Proof of any research and writing activities, as well as any professional experience relevant to the field of specialization (if available).
  7. Photocopy of Police ID or Passport

The method of evaluating (scoring) the above criteria is the responsibility of the Selection Committee, with final approval from the Postgraduate Studies Committee.

The selection process of candidates, by decision of the Postgraduate Studies Committee, is carried out by a three-member Selection and Examination Committee, consisting of faculty members involved in postgraduate work.

The Committee prepares a complete list of all candidates and, after the relevant review, rejects those who do not meet the minimum criteria set by the Programme. It invites those candidates who meet the requirements for an interview, where applicable.

The scoring of candidates for admission to the Master’s program is indicative and follows these guidelines:

a) General degree grade, multiplied by a coefficient of one (1), with a maximum of ten (10) points.

b) Postgraduate degrees: 1-10 points.

c) Grades in relevant undergraduate courses: 1-10 points.

d) Professional experience/relevance to the field of specialization: 1-10 points.

e) Relevance of undergraduate studies to the field of specialization: 1-10 points.

f) Research activity: 1-10 points.

g) Writing activity: 1-10 points points.

h) Oral interview, graded on a scale from zero (0) to ten (10). The interview grade is multiplied by a coefficient of three (3), meaning the interview can receive a maximum of thirty (30) points.

After the completion of the process, including the evaluation of documents and the interview, the final list of successful candidates is prepared.

Total points: 100.

In case of a tie, the candidate with the highest score in the interview will be accepted.

Personal Interview

In the interview, candidates are graded based on the relevance of their studies to the Programme, their previous related research, writing, professional experience, and other personal qualities demonstrated during the interview.

If there are vacant positions, they are filled up to the percentage limit for admissions (according to the call for applications), either by ranking successful candidates in descending order of total score (if this score is at least, for example, 30 points) or by issuing a supplementary call for the vacant positions.

The final list of successful candidates and any alternates, after being approved by the Programme Committee, will be posted on the School’s and on the Programme’s website.

Appeals regarding the results may be submitted within five (5) working days from the announcement of the results.

The registration of successful candidates will take place within five (5) days following a relevant announcement by the Master’s program office, with the submission of any necessary documents.

If a candidate does not register within the specified deadline, it is considered a refusal of the position, and it will be offered to the next successful candidate.
